On September 3rd, wRitErsbLock and I will be in Alaska again, from today that is thirty one days, we are fast running out of time and still have a lot to do. It’s kind of funny, last year before our trip we had very little planned, in truth WB wasn’t keen on going, she was only going because I had always wanted to go and there was a half marathon there that she wanted to run. Our only plan really was the marathon and trying to get to Denali to see Mt Mckinley, we had no other real plans as we got on the plane. So this time we have read tons of books and have a lot of things planned, yet I am so much more stressed out about our trip this time then I was last year. Last year we had little money and little expectations about the trip and we ended up having the greatest time of our lives, sure there were lots of things we would have liked to have done and couldn’t but we had a blast. This time we have plans made, lots of them already arranged and paid for, but I think we’ll have less money on us, a new air conditioner and carpeting and a few other things having drained some of our savings didn’t help, add to that the fact we may need to drive down to New York City two weeks before our trip doesn’t help the stress level. Sadly too, one of my camera lenses is not working correctly so I won’t be taking it and have no replacement for it, one thing I would have liked to have replaced before our trip. We are planning for an epic road trip while there so hopefully gas prices stay low as that might affect where we can go, we hope to get down to the Canadian border but we’ll have to play it by ear I guess. I’m probably just worrying over nothing, either way it’s going to be a great trip.
